This JRV 7-string guitar from B.C. Rich features classic B.C. Rich neck-through construction, a Floyd Rose Original 7-string tremolo, and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners. B.C. Rich designed their BDSM humbucking pickups to provide a solid sound and to be durable while delivering high output. BDSM stands for Broad Dynamic Sonically Matched. This simply means that the pickup is designed to reproduce a wide range of frequencies accurately (broad dynamic). Then they are tested and matched in pairs (Neck and Bridge) by their inherent individual and signature tonal and output characteristics to give a solidly balanced tone (sonically matched). The Floyd Rose Tremolo System is used by more professionals throughout the world than any other. No copy can duplicate the patented double-locking design of the Floyd Rose Tremolo System that allows you to lock your guitar in tune at the nut and at the bridge. The Floyd Rose Tremolo System is engineered like no other tremolo system. Its high-quality steel parts are manufactured to exacting specifications. B.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in neck-through construction. They utilize it on many of their guitars because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort, and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with premium maple or mahogany and runs from the tip of the headstock to the end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups, and bridge are all mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically, it is a difference you can hear. This guitar works as it should, and it plays and sounds great. It would be in excellent shape except that the previous owner decided to cut the bottom horns (please refer to the pictures). It does sit comfortably, so it could be left as is, or a skilled woodworker could make new horns. Thanks for looking!
