Yamaha Custom YTR-8345S silver Bb trumpet. This is the predecessor to the Xeno—Yamaha’s pro horn with the only real difference being a one-piece, hand-soldered bell (like every other pro trumpet in the world) before Yamaha started welding them with a Xenon laser (hence “Xeno.”) Better yet, this is the hard-to-find large-bore version of the standard 8335, giving you a more open feel and a bigger sound if you have the breath control to match it. It is in exceptional condition: silver plate about 99.9% with little if any wear at all, and perhaps the tiniest imperfections if you really go looking for them, but no significant dents, dings or repairs. As you can see from the photos, it is a stunning instrument! Best of all, this one is just through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new water key corks, tuning slide O-rings and water key corks installed. All tuning slides are free, valves are fast and smooth and quiet with near-perfect compression. Note that this is lubed with SYNTHETIC oil and you should use the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a standard product. Slide grease is for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a Yamaha cleaning snake, lyre, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and new ProTec slim profile straight mute. All in the Yamaha double case in good condition with just cosmetic wear, with plenty of room for your C trumpet or practice trumpet, mutes, stands, or other accessories. An excellent trumpet for an advanced player wanting something a little bigger sounding than a 37 Strad or a standard Xeno, and just in time for Christmas!
