If your high school or university student is working through advanced math or physics concepts this upcoming semester, I am offering targeted, one-on-one instructional sessions here in Lexington.
I am a local educator with a Master of Science in Physics and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I hold Kentucky teaching certifications in both Secondary Mathematics and Physics (Grades 8-12) with 24 years of experience balancing classroom instruction and private tutoring—most recently serving as an Algebra 2 teacher and Math Interventionist at Henry Clay High School.
Because my background crosses both abstract physics research and practical classroom teaching, my approach focuses entirely on breaking down complex, intimidating mathematical structures into clear, step-by-step logical lines.
How Sessions Work:
To make our time together as efficient as possible, I utilize a structured intake process. I ask all students to send over a photo of their current homework assignments, syllabus, or specific chapter topics 24 to 48 hours before our session. This allows me to pre-calibrate my instructional notes directly to their current school pacing so we can solve problems smoothly together from the first minute.
Subjects Covered:
• Core Mathematics: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, & Algebra 2
• Advanced Tracks: Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus
• Calculus & Classical Mechanics / Physics Foundations
I focus on steady, deliberate progress tailored straight to your student's actual learning speed. Openings for late summer preparation and upcoming autumn are limited to keep my schedule manageable.
