Infinium Integration LLC is seeking a skilled and safety‑driven Drill Operator to support our cable and fiber‑optic installation projects. As part of our underground utilities team, you’ll operate horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment to install conduit and cable pathways with precision and minimal surface disruption. Your work will directly support the expansion of high‑speed communication networks.
Key Responsibilities
Operate directional drilling equipment (Vermeer, Ditch Witch, or similar) to complete underground bores according to project specifications
Work closely with the locator to ensure accurate drill paths and safe utility avoidance
Read and interpret blueprints, job plans, and utility maps
Perform daily equipment inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Load, install, and pull back conduit, pipe, or cable
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations
Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and project managers
Document job progress, materials used, and any issues encountered
Qualifications
1–3+ years of experience operating directional drilling equipment, Ditch Witch (preferred)
Knowledge of HDD processes, drilling fluids, and underground utilities
Ability to read and understand construction plans and utility locates
Valid driver’s license (CDL is preferred)
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical labor as needed
