Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Farm Hand/Laborer to join our dynamic Equine team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supporting daily farm operations, caring for horses, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of farm activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the success of our farming operations. The ideal candidate will be energetic, safety-conscious, and eager to learn new skills while performing essential farm duties.
Duties
Conduct animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring of, horses.
Operate and maintain small farm machinery, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Perform routine equipment repairs, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Handle manual labor tasks such as fencing, weed eating, and general farm maintenance using hand tools and power tools
Monitor safety standards in all production activities to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
Manage horse handling procedures with care to ensure animal well-being and compliance with animal husbandry practices
Conduct regular inspections of farm infrastructure and equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs required for ongoing operations
Support team supervision by collaborating with other workers on daily tasks and ensuring efficient workflow
Experience
Prior experience working on a farm or in agricultural settings is highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of farm machinery operation including tractors, and, power tools.
Hands-on experience with animal care, horse management, or animal husbandry practices
Outdoor work experience in varying weather conditions is essential
Familiarity with safety standards in agricultural production environments is required
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
