IF you have been thinking about starting ducks, and would like the coolest way to do it, well here it is.
Our farm has been raising ducks for 14 years. We have mostly egg laying breeds, which are non flying. The maternal instinct is not so common nowadays with feed store got ducklings, but we are blessed to have it. This is how a farm can be sustainable, with moms raising the babies to grow the flock, on your own land.
Did you know, when ducklings are raised by a good caretending, they are stronger, healthier, have better knowledge of being a good forager, and have better social graces & manners?
These are super friendly to humans, lovelingly care-tended. Great for a beginner flock, super for small kids. OUR DUCKS REALLY ARE THE BEST AROUND~!
Group of 6 for $60, at least, recommended to start. $10 each. discount for a dozen, $ 100
You will need to have a protected area for the birds to live, like a stall or pen, near your home. They can go outside during the day, fresh water & feed many times a day, & warmer temps for a few weeks at night. They can eat your leftover kitchen waste too. Your other pets will need to be trained to leave them alone.
