Great, UNIQUE, inexpensive gift for that firefighter!
ONLY 911 numbered sets exist of this collectible. Set consists of a limited-edition ceramic miniature decanter and pourer made circa 1982 by Old Commonwealth Distilling Co. The 2 items were produced by Julian Van Winkle, III of "Pappy Van Winkle" fame when he owned Old Commonwealth Distilling, just outside Lawrenceburg, Ky. This was long before taking his famous "Pappy" label to Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Ky.
Set comes with a numbered certificate and each item has corresponding number on the bottom. Comes in a beautiful black box with gold printing on the lid. Inside black foam is sculpted so the items fit snugly. Presentation box measures 6 and 3/4 inches by 8 and 1/4 inches.
This item must be ACTUALLY SEEN for the quality to be apparent. Your visit to inspect this set (with no obligation, of course) is welcome. AT TODAYS PRICES, THE COST JUST TO ASSEMBLE ANYTHING LIKE THIS, WOULD EXCEED THE SINGLE SET PRICE QUOTED BELOW.
Price for the set in A-1 condition is $15. I have some sets with a VERY SLIGHT flaw on outside of box for $12 each.
I am located less than 5 minutes off I-65, exit 112 near Bernheim Forest and Jim Beam.
Other firefighter decanters available including Jim Beam fire engines.
